“In case you’re wondering, Hershey Ice Cream is not related at all to Hershey’s Chocolate. Oddly enough, both companies started in 1894 in the state of Pennsylvania. The Hershey Creamery Company was started first by brothers Jacob, Issac, John, Paris and Eli Hershey in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Hershey Ice Cream has been made the same way in the same creamery building in Harrisburg, since 1926. Later that same year, the chocolate company was founded by Milton Hershey in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The families were not related.”
